The ASAP'SORBER energy absorber is designed exclusively for use with the Petzl ASAP or ASAP LOCK fall arrester. It allows the user to work away from the rope in order to protect it during the work phases. The energy absorber is housed in a sheath that can be opened at the ends. It is thus protected against abrasion and can be checked regularly. ASAP'SORBER is available in two lengths to enable an optimum compromise between distance from the rope and reduction of the fall height.

Durch Aufreißen des Gurtbands des Falldämpfers wird der auf den Anwender ausgeübte Fangstoß reduziert. Die strapazierfähige Stoffhülle mit einem Öffnungssystem an den Enden schützt den Falldämpfer vor Abrieb und Spritzern und ermöglicht eine regelmäßige Überprüfung des Falldämpfers. Die mit STRING-Elementen versehenen Enden halten das Verbindungselement in der richtigen Position und schützen das Gurtband vor Abrieb.

During normal use, the device automatically follows the user's movements on the rope without manual intervention. In the event of a fall or abrupt acceleration, the fall arrester blocks on the rope and stops the user. The integrated blocking function enables the user to stop the device to reduce the fall height.
