Petzl's compact ABSORBICA energy absorber is used in combination with the JANE lanyard for fall protection. Thanks to its particularly compact design, it can be carried on the harness to save space. The energy absorber is housed in a cover that can be opened. The energy absorber is thus protected against abrasion and can be checked regularly.

ABSORBICA wurde konzipiert für die Verwendung mit einem JANE-I- oder JANE-Y-Verbindungsmittel, um ein Verbindungsmittel zur Absturzsicherung mit einer Länge von maximal zwei Metern zu erhalten.

Es nimmt bei einem Sturz die Fallenergie auf: Durch das progressive Aufreißen des Gurtbands des Falldämpfers wird der auf die anwendende Person ausgeübte Fangstoß reduziert. Dank des besonders kompakten Designs wird die anwendende Person bei der Fortbewegung nicht behindert. Die strapazierfähige Stoffhülle mit vereinfachtem Öffnungssystem schützt den Falldämpfer vor Abrieb und Spritzern und ermöglicht eine regelmäßige Überprüfung des Falldämpfers.

Zwei Befestigungsmöglichkeiten am Gurt entsprechend der Verwendung:
